The Wig Party 2012

The Wig Party is a glamorous highlight on London’s busy social calendar, an event dedicated to raising funds to help improve the lives of individuals living with HIV and AIDS. This year’s event theme is the Wig Party goes to Toyland. We invite our fellow guests to embrace plastic-fantastic, their childhood dreams and go to “infinity and beyond” to help raise funds for our dedicated cause. The Elton John AIDS Foundation will be the charitable benefactor of all funds raised by the Wig Party over the next three years to 2014.

The core principles of the event are the same today as they were for the first event: a contribution to raise funds for a named charity’s project, a compulsory wig for guests and a united front in celebrating those that inspire us. It is a gala of individuality and self-expression where people from all parts of society, from all over the world, enjoy being themselves. This unique experience has resulted in the event attracting a host of celebrity followers and attendees from the world of music, fashion, TV, film and stage. These include Leona Lewis, Dannii Minogue, Patrick Cox, Beverley Knight and Myleene Klass.
