Leeds Pride this Sunday

leeds pride posterFollowing on from last year’s huge success where 30,000 people attended Leeds LGBT Pride 2013 and danced in the rain to Sophie Ellis Bextor, Leeds LGBT Pride 2014 on Sunday 3rd August looks set to be even bigger and better… this year’s theme is Love and Marriage so get those creative costume ideas flowing!

The main Pride event will take place as usual across two areas of the city from 12 midday until 9pm. As tradition stands the first half of the Leeds Pride day will begin at Midday on Millennium Square with its Parade Stage. This year the Parade stage is hosted by DJ Degsie and Kira Live, there will be acts on the Parade Stage before the actual Parade departs from Millennium Square at around 2pm.

This will be hosted by QC’s Miss Orry and GC’s Chel Sea (see what we did there?) and will begin with some Camp Dance Sessions at around 2pm revving up the atmosphere for when the parade arrives at around 2.30pm. From then on the stage will be packed with entertainment and it’ll be fun and frolics all the way from the likes Stooshe, Martha Wash from the Weather Girls, Kimberly Wyatt from the Pussycat Dolls, UK Eurovision winner Katrina of Katrina & The Waves, Angie Brown, Ikenna the world famous Whitney Houston Tribute plus Kelly Wilde, The Scheme, Jason Prince, Laura Harding, Harry Mondryk & GTF.

More local acts will include Miss Carla Jackson & Anna Glypta as The Champagne Showgirls, Funnygirls Miss Rose Kelly, The Viaduct Starlets, Bears Aloud, DJ PJ, Miss Sordid Secret and Miss Lexi Legs as The Paradise Showgirls, The Jane McDonald Tribute Show, Miss Pandora Cox and The Viaduct Showgirls.

It’s looking to be an amazing day!
