Elton wants to meet Putin

     In a recent interview with the BBC, Sir Elton John has said he would like to sit and have a cup of tea and a chat with the homophobic Russian president.

In 2013, Russia passed a diabolical law which prosecutes anyone who promotes homosexuality. This has led to segregation, torture and murder of homosexuals across the country.

“He may laugh behind my back… but at least I can have a conscious to say I’ve tried.” Sir Elton told BBC’s diplomatic correspondent, Bridget Kendall.

Sir Elton is currently in Ukraine where he met President Petro Poroshenko and called for the county to give support to the LGBT community. He has also met with business leaders to ask them not to turn away prospective LGBT employees.
