Marc Almond returns to the London stage
The award winning song cycle Ten Plagues arrives at Wilton’s following it’s hugely successful premiere at Edinburgh’s Festival Fringe in August 2011.
Based on eye-witness accounts of the 1665 London Plague, Ten Plagues depicts an incredible journey through London in the midst the most deadly Plague imaginable. A one-man solo sung performance by Marc Almond, Ten Plagues brings together the worlds of music, theatre and opera in a deeply moving and profoundly relevant piece of theatre.
This collaboration between playwright Mark Ravenhill and composer Conor Mitchell, previewed as a work-in-progress at as part of the Royal Court’s Rough Cuts 2010 season.
