George Michael To Be Sentenced For Dui Today

Pop star George Michael will today be sentenced for driving under the influence, a charge in which he pleaded guilty to last month.

“I did something very stupid and I am very ashamed since doing it. I’m not used to defending myself in a position where I am ashamed of something.” Michael said at the May 8th court appearance. 

“I was not in my normal physical state and I’m perfectly prepared to accept the correct punishment for that and I would have accepted it a long time ago.” He added.

Michael was arrested in London in October last year by police who found him slumped at the wheel of his Mercedes.
