Matt Smith, the current Doctor Who is to play gay writer Christopher Isherwood in a new drama about the man’s life. Isherwood wrote A Single Man, which was recently made into a very successful film staring Colin Firth and Goodbye to Berlin another of his novels that was adapted for the stage and film to become… Cabaret. Also co-starring alongside Matt is Douglas Booth, the talented 17 year-old we saw recently taking the lead role of Boy George in BBC2’s drama ‘Worried About The Boy’. No date has yet been given for transmission of the drama: Christopher And His Kind.
