ICEQUEEN: Freeze Fabulous This Winter In The Best Of Winter Coats!

With winter bearing down on us like Vanessa Feltz on a free buffet, the only item of clothing you should be thinking about is a lovely new winter coat. There’s a huge range to go at, so just what should you be looking for when you’re out and about this winter?

Here’s my personal favourites from a selection of stores, so whatever your budget, you can afford to freeze fabulous this winter…

First up is this Herringbone wool from River Island. Wool is of course the best option if warmth is your deciding factor, but the herringbone effect gives this jacket an English heritage twist that could be easily styled for a country or formal look.

River Island: £90

If you’re after something a bit sportier, this ultra lightweight down jacket from UNIQLO is a must. It’s unbelievably light and yet has all the warmth you’d expect from a high performance jacket. Exclusively online and available in a range of colours so you can suit your fine self with which ever takes you fancy…

UNIQLO: £59.90

Sometimes its worth investing. Gold, diamonds, stocks… or this amazing gorgeous lovely Burberry trench from the London collection. Adaptable and will be a staple of a high class wardrobe for a very long time to come… not to mention stiff upper lip British design all the way.

Burberry London: £995

I find it difficult to discuss winter coats without giving mention to Zara. A Zara coat has all the quality but the design to match at a price I don’t think you can find anywhere else. This military style coat is adaptable to most styles and a sure fire purchase (I defy you to state when military has ever been out-of-mode)

Zara: £159

Finally it’s the old favorite, H&M. This asymmetric is a nice take on the other coats of the season and comes in the ever-in black. Would work well worn both open and closed depending on your preference, but the quirky design gives off a designer illusion.

H&M: £49.99

So that’s my little round up of my favorite coats this season. As you might have noticed it’s a considerably dark palette. The key being if you throw it with dark colours they work just as well as if you make a bright colour pop against them.
