A Number 1 Top Hit For Mika

article_image-89.phpGay pop sensation Mika is riding high as his first single Grace Kelly has hit number in the UK singles charts, bumping X factor winner Leon Lewis (reining number one) to 6th place.


The 23-year-old ‘most promising new artist of 2007’ (according to the BBC) has also been confimed to be the face of the new Paul Smith advertising campaign.

Earning a reported six-figure sum, Mika will front Paul Smith’s worldwide spring/summer 2007 collection. 

Grace Kelly, has generated 250,000 plays on MySpace in less than four months and is playlisted on BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2. 

“The UK is an amazing atmosphere for pop at the moment – it’s so full of artistry and innocence,” he recently told the BBC.

He is currently being managed by music mogul Tommy Mottola, ex husband and manager of Mariah Carrey.
