George Clooney Mocks ‘unsexy’ Co-stars

George Clooney has mocked his friends Matt Damon and Brad Pitt after beating them both to the title of Sexiest Man Alive.

The ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’ actor – who was bestowed the title by People magazine – joked that his co-stars were jealous of losing out to him in an interview with David Letterman on ‘The Late Show’ on Tuesday night (28.11.06).

Clooney said: “I worked hard for that one. But I felt bad for Matt Damon, because he really wanted it. He campaigned hard for it, but he came up short. And poor Brad. He ran such a good campaign, but he got some bad advice along the way.”

Clooney, 45, also exposed Pitt as the anonymous ‘Reverend Ted’ who took out advertisements in Variety magazine and The Hollywood Reporter congratulating Clooney on his win but accompanied by an embarrassing old photograph of the heartthrob.

Clooney took revenge during his TV interview by giving Letterman a collection of unflattering pictures of Pitt to show.

Pitt is the only man other than Clooney to have been awarded the title twice. Last year, the honour was given to Matthew McConaughey.
