Camp Cooks – Drag Queen Cooks

Camp cooks are a small collective of outrageous and talented drag queen cooks touring Britain’s events and festivals with a unique formula of entertainment and informative demonstration with a dash of comedy, a dollop of audience participation and a whole load of food themed retro sound tracks, all topped off with ample mouth-watering samples and they are heading South.

After many years in show business starting with hosting dance clubs then appearing in cabaret and working as a party DJ Wynnie was almost ready for the knacker yard, but being the secret love child of Fanny Craddock and Mr Roy “Chubby” Brown she decided to put her genes to good use and shipped over an American airstream that is older than her. Six months of toil and renovation, bribing favours from enthusiastic amateurs Priscilla the trailer was ready for a new life.

“Our demonstration are entertaining, informative and jam packed with recipe ideas, a competition based cook off, NAUGHTY BUT NICE versus HEALTHY OPTIONS teaches whilst at the same time being a feeding frenzy…. it’s a taste sensation! ”

With a soundtrack from yester-year with foody tracks like “I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts ” and “American Pie” to sing-a-long-a classics from “Cotton Eyed Joe” to “Take Me Home Country Roads”.

The Camp Cooks have already appeared on This Morning, Bestival, Leeds Pride, Americana, Parklife, Glastonbury festival and in various Magazines and newspapers. They will also be cooking up a treat at the  Brighton Pride camp-site for a week and of course the celebrations in  Preston Park.

The team of outrageous 50’s style drag queens are touring the nation serving tasty retro and mouth-watering cuisine. With a sprinkle of Carry On Camping and a dash of tongue in cheek humour, Wynnie, Lucy, Cleo and Tina bring a touch of Trailer Trash right to your event. So give the girls a tinkle for a taste bud tingle!
